This October, The Perle Hotel Group unveils a rare opportunity for writers and creatives to step away from the rush of daily life and sink into the stillness of the Isle of Skye. From Sunday 19th to Friday 24th October 2025, Bracken Hide Hotel will host an intimate five-night retreat, designed to nourish both the body and the imagination.
Guided sessions unfold each morning in the mezzanine lounge, with views across the surrounding hills and moorland a landscape that seems to invite stillness and reflection. Writers will be encouraged to explore how nature and place can shape voice and story, discovering texture in the wind off the moors, cadence in the crashing tide, and rhythm in the islandโs rich cultural heritage.
Guests are accommodated in Bracken Hideโs Cosy and Deluxe Hides timber-clad sanctuaries tucked into the hillside. Days begin with nourishing breakfasts and close with dinners at Am Braigh, the celebrated Scottish kitchen where the larder of Skye is laid bare: whisky-cured salmon, hand-dived scallops, and langoustines pulled fresh from the sea.
Beyond the words on the page, there is time to restore a plunge into the wild pool after a hot Estonian sauna, a whisky at the bar, or a quiet pause before the next sentence.
With places limited, this is an invitation not only to retreat, but to write, restore, and reconnect in one of the most inspiring landscapes in the world.
