Merchant

Bar

In the Merchant Bar, you’ll find one of the island’s finest selections of Scottish gins and, of course, single malts. The award-winning Isle of Skye Brewery showcases three of their finest ales on tap alongside the much-raved about – also award winning – Thistly Cross Farmhouse Cider.
Merchant bar is open daily from 12.00pm every day for residents and non-residents. In line with current government guidance this is only for the provision of food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Please be aware of social distancing guidelines when visiting our small bar and understand that we will only be able to serve drinks to guests who have a table in either the bar or restaurant seating area or for consumption in your room. There must be no standing guests in the bar area!

DULSE & BROSE

Named in honour of the source of its ingredients, our award-wining Dulse & Brose restaurant takes pride in its seasonal menu, featuring superb combinations of Scottish produce fresh from its natural larder.

Dulse is a seaweed found in the clear waters around Skye; it is rich in essential nutrients and has been eaten for over a thousand years.
Brose is a traditional, uncooked oatmeal gruel; made with oats mixed with boiling water, left to steep, then served with salt, butter, milk or buttermilk.

Using these two ingredients for our restaurant’s name signifies our commitment to the use of the best of Scottish ingredients from both Land and Sea, served in a modern Scottish style, while always retaining a respect for past traditions.

Sample menus can be found here

Opening hours vary depending on the season. Advance booking advised. You can make your reservation online or dial ‘0’ to make a booking.

Please respect that our tables are situated at pre-measured government stipulated distances and as such tables cannot be joined for larger groups.
