15th – 23rd November in Oban
During this ten-day celebration of Oban’s unique culture and community, guests can expect to see street parades and performances from international and local artists. Now in its ninth year, Oban Winter Festival has an extensive programme of events aimed at people of all ages. There will be the finest Scottish fare on offer, and everyone is encouraged to take to the floor for a ceilidh. It is the perfect family festival.
Festival action takes place in and around town and getting from place to place is very easy.
Join us on Saturday 16th November for the Oban Winter Festival Victorian Market. The popular annual themed market with a unique array of handmade goods and gifts. Jewellery, photography, china, soap, bakery, candles, cushions, highland homeware. Santa’s Postbox. 10am – 4.30pm.
On Saturday 23rd of November we will be hosting the Perle Hotel winter market, full of stalls with hand made goods, glass, cards, knitting, teas. Open 10am-4pm.
Obans reindeer parade and Christmas lights switch on will also take place on Saturday 23rd November. Join the parade lead by Oban pipe band at 5.00pm from Corran Halls down to Station Square. Meet Santa and his Reindee before the official Christmas light switch on at 6pm.
Winter Woods is back this year from 15-17 November with transport provided from Oban. The enchanting walled garden and grounds of Glencruitten will be beautifully lit, allowing for night time walking, with stories, performances, a light show and crafts.
